Parts of the : | Similarities: | |
Computer | Human Body | |
Central Processing Unit | Brain (subconscious) | This is responsible of doing everything a human does subconsciously and so this does everything to make the computer operate. |
Hard disk | Brain (conscious) | Our memories and thoughts that we cherish everyday is stored in our brain, while computers stores data in the hard disk. |
Motherboard | Nervous System | The motherboard is easily compared to the human body's nervous system. The wires (nerves) on it transfer data between all of the other components. Having a high-quality motherboard (not described in retail computers) is essential to a reliable computer. |
Speaker | Mouth | Both the speaker and the mouth produce sound waves. |
Mouse | Hands | We use the mouse so that we will be able to do what we want to do in the computer, while in our body we use our hands to do what we want. |
RAM | Muscles | RAM is like a muscle in our body in a sense that the higher the capacity the faster it can do things. |
Web Camera | Eyes | Eyes are organs that detect light, and send signals along the optic nerve to the visual and other areas of the brain, and the computer to the CPU. |
Microphone | Ears | Both of them are the same in a way that the two of them receives sound waves. |
Keyboard | Skin | Same with our senses we can obtain information and be able to sense things around us. |
Monitor | Face | Both of them displays or projects things, in our face we can display our feelings and on the other hand the monitor can show the progress. |

OVERVIEW:
- Medical technology means: *the diagnostic or therapeutic application of science and technology to improve the management of health conditions. Medical technology extends and improves life. It alleviates pain, injury and handicap. Its role in health care is essential. Incessant medical technology innovation enhances the quality and effectiveness of care. Billions of patients worldwide depend on medical technology at home, at the doctor’s, at hospital and in nursing homes. Wheelchairs, pacemakers, orthopedic shoes, spectacles and contact lenses, insulin pens, hip prostheses, condoms, oxygen masks, dental floss, MRI scanners, pregnancy tests, surgical instruments, bandages, syringes, life-support machines: more than 500,000 products (10,000 generic groups) are available today. Medical technology represents only 6,3% of total health care expenditure in Europe - a modest share if you consider the benefits for every member of society.
- Information Technology means the application of computer, communications and software technology to the management, processing and dissemination of information. In the broadest sense, information technology refers to both the hardware and software that are used to store, retrieve, and manipulate information. At the lowest level you have the servers with an operating system. Installed on these servers are things like database and web serving software. The servers are connected to each other and to users via a network infrastructure. And the users accessing these servers have their own hardware, operating system, and software tools.
